About Us

Aquila Helicopter Rescue Services provides rescue, retrieval and expert medical care to patients across Australia from bases in New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.

At each base, there are hangars, refuelling, maintenance and engineering facilities, crew accommodation and office space for staff. We operate AgustaWestland 139 helicopters which mark the latest in performance, safety and innovation, to reach patients in remote areas faster than ever before. The AW139 is a modern twin engine helicopter with advanced flight management and autopilot systems.

We perform over 1000 patient missions each year. Our crews deliver critical care to communities, effectively transporting the ICU to the patient. Fitted with a specialist medical configuration and equipment, including neonatal capabilities, the aircraft supports the continuum of critical care from the scene to the hospital.

Our highly qualified aeromedical team includes world-class pilots, air crew, doctors, paramedics, nurses, engineers and support personnel that undergo rigorous specialist training to ensure optimum safety and support for patients in need.
