Risk Register

The Risk Register is a digital data system accessed via Aquila's intranet. It has been established to facilitate recording, evaluation and monitoring all identified risks for Aquila.

The Risk Register system identifies the inherent and residual risks, their corresponding consequences and likelihood of occurrence, mitigating action taken and the manager responsible for managing the risk. It provides the basis for monitoring Aquila's risks.

The Risk Register system provides automated email reminders to Responsible Officers prior to actions becoming due. It provides reports based on risk ratings, current actions, due dates and risk categories. Support and guidance on the use of the Risk Register is provided by People Performance.

The Safety Risk Management Panel (SRMP) review the Risk Register on a quarterly basis and Aquila’s strategic risks half yearly. On 3 August 2017 and in accordance with Aquila’s Risk Management Framework, SRMP completed their review of the strategic risks and ‘high’ and ‘medium’ operational risks in the Risk Register. Following a direction from SRMP, the holistic review of Aquila’s risks is in the process of being organised.
