Safety Reporting & Investigating

Aquila Helicopter Rescue Services refers to all hazards, near misses, property damage, injury and illness events as “Safety & Health Reports”.  Safety & Health Reports provide us with an opportunity to reflect upon, learn and communicate key findings across the organisation, to prevent recurrence through continuous improvement.  

 

The submission of Safety & Health Reports assists Aquila to identify trends and formulate solutions for the hazards faced by our teams.  Safety & Health Reports provide individuals with an opportunity to improve and shape our Work Health and Safety (WHS) system and ensure that all staff return home healthy and safe at the end of the day.   

 

Aquila aims for a culture where people feel comfortable in reporting health and safety hazards, near misses and incidents and injuries. It is a critical first step in achieving our goal of management of preventing recurrences of similar incidents.
